William Brown Benlayton Strother Jr. born September 8, 1950 to William Brown Benlayton Strother Sr. and Youling Rossetta Strother in Strasburg, Virginia.
At the early age of ten, William accepted Christ as his personal Savior at Esbie Baptist Church in Strasburg, Virginia.
William attended elementary at Sunset Hill later moving to Strasburg Elementary through his Junior High, moving on to Strasburg High School to graduate in 1970. He was well recognized in Basketball, Track, Wrestling, and Football during his high school years.
In 1989 William moved to Harrisburg, PA where he became a resident for seven years. In 1997 William met Jackie K. Edmonds whom he remained in a long distance relationship for a year, before he decided to move to Austin, TX in 1998. On February 23, 2001, William married Jackie K. Strother the love of his life and they became one. He retired from Dell Computers as a contractor on March 1, 2013.
William loved family and captured every moment on camera when they gathered. He loved fishing, horse racing, watching wrestling and going on trips. Sitting at the Lake with his grandchildren was the life for William.
On Tuesday, December 29, 2020, William took his last breath and went home to be with the Lord. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Youling and William Strother Sr and daughters Danielle Jones and Senovia.
William leaves to cherish his lovely wife, Jackie K. Strother (Austin), brother, Clinton Strother (Wilmington, NC), sister, Nelma De Neal (Strasburg, VA), daughters, Tina Jones (Warrington, PA), Crystal Jones (Stephen City, VA), Latausha Spivey (Chris Spivey) of Austin, TX, sons, Phillip Jones (Warrington, PA), Patrick, Emmett and Peyton all of Austin, TX.
William also leaves to cherish his memory are special nieces and nephews that knew him as Uncle Wee, Stacey Davis, Randolph Teddy De Neal III and Chantell De Neal. Teresa Newman and Clinton Maurice Strother (Winchester, VA), Bruce E. Strother (Dover, DE), Bradley W. Strother (Raleigh, NC).
As well, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
