Vivian Marie Petitt Miller was born to the union of Neal and Frances Pettit on December 8, 1944, in Wharton, Texas. She was one of nine children.

Vivian and her younger sister Anna moved to Austin to be with their elder siblings. She graduated from L.C. Anderson High School. She married and had two beautiful children, Kimberly and Christopher. She began her career with Motorola that spanned 24 years and met many people along the way, including her best friend, Gwen Miller.

She met the love of her life, Elwood Miller, Aka “My Honey” and they married in October 1999. She gained a bonus daughter, Tammy Edwards and two Grandsons, Brandon and Jonathan and a beautiful extended family.

She leaves in her cherished memories, Husband, Elwood Miller, Daughter, Kimberly Porter, Son, Christopher Porter, Granddaughter, Darrys Powell and Great-Granddaughter, Lola Marie Ayo-Johnson. Two sisters, Lola Mae Petitt Fowler and Wilma Jean Petitt Hill. One brother, Roy S Petitt. And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Two sisters and three brothers proceeded her in death. Ivory Lee Petitt Austin, Anna Lorraine Petitt Jones, Cornealious Petitt Sr., Harrison Petitt and Nethel Petitt.

She truly was a lover of life and family. She lived her best life with a smile on her face. She will be greatly missed.
