Orr, 68, of Hutto, TX, affectionately known as "Ringer" by his family, departed this life on Saturday, September 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Jr. and Lillie Belle Orr; wife Petty Orr. In addition, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Sr. and Eva Orr; nephew, James (Jimmy) Little.
Thomas confessed his faith at an early age. Born on December 9, 1953 in Savannah, Ga, Thomas spent most of his youth in South Carolina, Georgia and later in Texas. Thomas was a 1972 graduate of Cooper High School in Abilene, TX and went on to study at McMurry College. He continued his studies at trade schools and upon completion he began his career as a Project Manager specializing in Heating and Air Conditioning.
Thomas was a creature of habit which included every morning starting with coffee and breakfast. Interacting with him before that first cup of coffee was probably not a good idea. More than anything, Thomas enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed cooking and he took great pride is being responsible for cooking the Thanksgiving turkey.
He leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Dominique Ford; son, Thomas Orr IV; sister Jeanette (Henderson) Scott; sister, Tommysena Turner; sister, Denise Little; brother, Timothy Orr; brother Terrance (Rita) Orr; brother, Dwayne (Pam) Orr; grandson, Deonte Ford; granddaughter, Talaya Moore; grandson, Thomas Orr.
