Obituary
Terry Caldwell was born on November 29, 1955, in Austin, Texas, to Lorenzo Caldwell and Elizabeth Gilbert Caldwell.
He accepted Christ at an early age under Reverend Henry Hill, Pastor, of Del Valle Missionary Baptist Church and later joined the church family of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was ordained a Deacon under Reverend G.V. Clark, Pastor.
Terry attended Del Valle and Austin Public Schools. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1975. After graduation, he worked at Motorola for 30 years and later at Marquee Party Rentals.
Terry was the happy-go-lucky, bright light of the family. He never met a stranger. Terry always had something funny to say to make you laugh or put a smile on your face. Even
on his bad days, he made sure to make a person smile. That bright light was dimmed on the morning of Friday, November 10, 2023, when Terry lost his four-year fight with
cancer.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, both paternal and maternal grandparents, one brother, Don Caldwell, and one son, Brandon Lee Caldwell. He is survived by his
sons, Terry McVade of Austin, Texas and Terrance Caldwell of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Terry McVade, Jr. of Killeen, Texas and Aterrion McVade, of Austin, Texas;
sisters, Bobbie Williams, Debra Caldwell and Vera Caldwell, all of Manor, Texas; and brother, Tommy Caldwell, of Austin, Texas. Terry is also survived by niece, Cheryl
Williams of Austin, Texas; nephews, Andre Caldwell (Sunny) of Round Rock, Texas and Anthony Wilkins of Orange, Texas; great-nephews Anthony Delaney and Michael
Caldwell of Round Rock, Texas; great-niece Ahlysse Wilkins of Hutto, Texas; sister-in-law, Dorothy Caldwell of Austin, Texas; long-time friend, Joann Rodriguez, and a
host of other relatives and friends..
