Roland Eugene Edwards

Roland Eugene Edwards was born in White Castle, Louisiana to Lena Edwards and Alex Morris Sr.
Religious Affiliations: African Methodist Episcopal
Schooling and Employment: Iberville Parish schools and Iberville High School. Roland obtained
his Masters Degree in Business Management. Roland joined the Air Force at 17 years old and
served for 26 years in the United States Air Force as a Vehicle Mechanic and Transportation
Officer. He served in the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Shield/Storm. He traveled with his
family all over the United States, Spain, the UK, and Korea. After his retirement, he worked as a
consultant for Brown and Root in Turkey, owned and operated a family store and small engine
repair shop. He then went on to own and operate his own long haul trucking company.
Marriage and Children: Roland was married to the love of his life, Katie C. Edwards for 55 years.
They shared 4 children together: Donald, Tonia, Tonya and Toya Edwards.
Preceded in Death By: His mother Lena Edwards, his father, Alex Morris Sr., his brothers
Clarence Osborne and Charles Morris. His sisters Norma Jean Cushenberry, Rose Morris
Lodge and Lillian Morris Jones
Survivors: Roland is survived by his wife of 55 years- Katie C. Edwards, his sisters- Adrian
Crockett, his 4 children-Donald Edwards, Tonia Edwards, Tonya Edwards and Toya Foster, 6
grandchildren: Darius Brown, Nicholas Edwards, Veronica Brown,Kyle Edwards, Mason Foster
and Chase Holdtke. He has many nieces and nephews, cousins and brother and sister in-laws.
