Nelwynne Joyce Roland, affectionately known as "Boomie", was born Monday March 10, 1958, to John Henry Roland, Sr., and Doris Ray Talley Roland in Austin, Texas. Boomie was the third child born to John and Doris, and sibling to John Henry Roland, Jr., and Bertha Delorce Roland.
