Mr. Marvin Gettrelle “Binky” Henson, son of Alice Faye Henson was born on July 12, 1972 in Austin, Texas. He attended Sidney Lanier High School and at an early age professed his faith in Jesus Christ and practiced Jehovah Witness traditions under the teachings of his family. As a child Marvin would love to play in the neighborhood known as the “The Hogpen” with the dogs and chickens. Fast cars and motorcycles were his favorite toys from childhood all the way to adulthood.
Mr. Henson was an active member in his community of East Austin. He was outgoing, full of life, and with a heart of gold to match. Marvin shared much of his lifestyle with as many people as possible and enjoyed being the center of attention. With the love and support of his family and close friends he was able to share these life experiences through his laughter, his finesse, and his overall live out loud personality.
As many people became to know and love him over the years he never changed and stayed true to himself. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his sons, taking trips to the movies, having deep conversations, racing, and overall getting the most out of life. His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him, and he will be missed and cherished as a legend forever.
He departed from his earthly life on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Lee Edward Wilson and leaves to cherish his memory grandmother Ruby Lee Wilson, mother Alice Faye Henson, children Alexis Dawn Lenise Davis, Ashley Dawn Banks, Nathaniel Mekhi Garcia, Domencio Jayvynn Ugiansky-Henson, Markise Gettrelle Henson and Cameron Corleone Henson as well as 8 beautiful grandchildren. He also leaves his beloved aunt Dianne, uncle Mack and 5 first cousins Phillip Robinson, Tamika Dianne, Rabaka Davita, Alisa and Aaleyah.
