Leonard Gabriel Obituary

Leonard Oswald Gabriel, 70, of Austin, TX, departed this life on November 15, 2023, to be with our Lord God. He died in hospice care after extended illnesses.

He was born on May 7, 1953 in Port Arthur, TX, the son of the late Hosea Epps Gabriel Sr. and the late Celia Mae Henderson-Gabriel.

Leonard graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Flominda Mercer-Gabriel, his beloved daughter, Janisha Gabriel, and his siblings Fredrick, Thomas, and Jean Gabriel.

Leonard's surviving siblings are Hosea Jr., Carol, Roy, Jabriel, and Sue. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
