Obituary

Leland Moses Edmondson born in Austin, Texas on September 28, 1955.  His parents were Ollie Bob Edmondson and Bobbie Jean White.  At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.  He graduated from Reagan High School in 1974 then joined the United States Navy from 1975 to 1980 where he worked as an oceans graphic technician and played semi pro basketball in the Bahamas.

Leland lived in California for a short while and worked at the Naval ship yard.  While there he attended El Camino College then moved back to Austin and worked for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Waste Management, National Cash Registries (NCR) private contractor and D&S Services.

He met his lovely wife Teresa Brooks-Edmondson in Abilene, Texas and they married in 2001. While there he worked for 7CES on Dyess AFT and Abilene Diagnostic Center as the lead IT person.

He was a member of Word of Life Christian Faith Center in Buda, Texas (Pastor James Jacobs) where he was part of the security team and greeted everyone at the door with a friendly smile.

Leland was preceded in death by his mother Bobbie Jean Edmondson White; brother Gordon Edmondson, and sister Brendalyn Joice Edmondson, and grandparents Ollie Edmondson, Augusta Horton-Edmondson and Myrtle Mackey-Thigpin.

Leland loved everyone.  He leaves to cherish his memories, children: Timothy Edmondson (California), Alexandria Edmondson (Atlanta), Anesha Richards (San Antonio), Keri Colbert (Cecilia (Austin), Keenan Colbert (California); grand son Jordan Reed; brothers Clifton Edmondson (Leslie), Brian Edmondson (Evelyn), and Chris White; sisters Audrey Edmondson-Caldwell (Reggie) and Gwendolyn White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
