Lee Edward Fitzgerald Carothers was born on June 24, 1964 to Eddie Lee Carothers, Sr. and Rosie Estelle Carothers. Lee professed his hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. C.L. Young at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Pflugerville, Texas where he was president of the youth choir and he was a lead singer. He was shy but always willing to lead in song.
Lee attended ASID public schools. He also attended school in Hawaii and later received his high school diploma from Johnston high school. He was employed with DHS, Frost brothers and Kelly Moore Paint, Co. His hobbies were cooking, he made a mean lasagna. He also loved detailing cars. After he shined up your car, he’d step back, look and smile with pride. Music was key for him. He loved listening to his music. He’ll be missed at family gatherings.
Lee is the father of three adult sons, Lee Edward Fitzgerald Carothers, Cedric Wayne Carothers, and Brandon Carothers, all of Austin, Texas.
