Kathleen (Kathy) Bradfield London

March 20, 1938 ~ September 12, 2022 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Katherine (Kathy) Bradfield London, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, peacefully transitioned to her eternal rest on September 12, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Kathy was married to the late Edgar London, Sr.  From this union three sons were born – Edgar London, Jr., Danny London and Chris London. 

Kathy was born in Yazoo, Mississippi March 20, 1938 and lived most of her life in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Kathy accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Pure Light Baptist Church in New Orleans under the leadership of Rev. Monday.  She was a graduate of Joseph S. Clark High School.  She had over 30 years of service at Charity Hospital and another 25 years with the Food Stamp office in New Orleans.  After retiring, Kathy continued to work for another 15 years with Dillard’s and Khol’s department stores.  After Hurricane Katrina, she relocated and made Round Rock, Texas her home.  There she united with St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church – The North Star under the leadership of Dr. B.J.E. McQueen.

Kathy was fun loving and quick witted.  She loved helping others and often volunteered at the food pantry in Round Rock, Texas until her health started to fail.  She had a loving heart and always had a smile and kind word to offer those around her.

Kathy leaves to cherish her memory two sons; Edgar London Jr, (Felicia Richardson) and Chris London, a sister Patricia Bridgewater-Brown, two brothers Cedrick Bridgewater (Barbara) and Herbert Bridgewater.  She is also survived by four grandchildren; Dana Carey, Ashley Carey, Arian London and Edgar London III, one great-grandson Terence Carey and one great-great-granddaughter Demi Carey; one sister-in-law; Helen London Dotson; four Godchildren; Charlene Baptiste, Darlene Baptiste Bearden, Tracey Carter and Jasmine Carter; many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends as well as her beloved Cocker Spaniel - Deuce.  Preceded in death by her parents; Vivien and Edward Bridgewater, former husband; Edgar London, Sr., son Danny London and her beloved Cocker Spaniel – Ace.
