Mr. Glen Hutchins was born in Austin, TX on October 23,1963. His entry into the world brought joy to his parents Jim and Martha Hutchins.
Glen graduated from Regan High School & soon after joined the U.S. Army where he served his country with dignity and honor. While serving from 1992-1998 he was able to do his tour to West Germany & Italy. The army was the stepping stone that introduced Glen into his calling to serve others. Glen later in years attended Texas State Univeristy & University of Texas at Austin. He completed his educational journey with a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Glen seen the need and struggles of others in his community so he spent countless of hours and dedicated himself to meet the urgent needs of strangers, those he loved and those he had as clients through his profession in social work. Even while facing his own life battle with illness he was determined to still stay true to the promise he made himself and the commitment to make this world a better place through helping others.
His hobbies included but were not limited to bicycle riding and running,Glen will be missed down here but he will be greeted at the pearly gates by: Jim Hutchins(father) Linda & Evelyn(sisters) and Charles & Billy Ray(brothers).To cherish his memory, he is survived by his dear mother, and two brothers Donald (Willie Mae) & Ronald. Also, he leaves behind a host of family, friends, nieces and nephews.
2 Timothy 4:7 where he says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
