Geraldine Beatty was born on September 27th, 194 7 in Atmore, Alabama. She grew up in Bakersville, Florida among a wonderful family of relatives.
Jheri met Neil Miller in 1980 and remained together for over 40 years. She worked several jobs including Bergstrom AFB which she met a host of friends that extended throughout her lifetime. Jeri had a heart of gold, meaning she never met a stranger. If you were looking for something to eat, she fed you; If you needed clothes, she found something for you to wear; If you needed a listening ear, she listened; If you needed prayer, she prayed for you and with you. Her heart had no bounds when it came to people. For a couple of years now Jheri, her daughter LaSunji, and LaSunji' s daughter Ty' onna has been involved in feeding the homeless at Sunrise Community Church. Cooking was her passion.
Jheri was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Simon and Harry Lee Johnson, and former husband, James Beatty.
She is survived by her husband, Neil Miller, her children: LaSunji Black, Bethella Johnson, Cecelia Fitzgerald, James Oliver Beatty, and Kandice Nicole Beatty. Grandmother of six grandchildren and a countless number of great grandchildren. Jheri also leaves behind two siblings, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends to whom she loved dearly.
