On October 4, 1937, Frankie Mae (Bunton) Thornton was born to Howard and Emma (Crayton) Bunton.
She attended the Austin Independent School District, graduating from the old L. C. Anderson High School. Frankie retired from Seton Medical Center.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets, and traveling to the casinos.
On April 25. 1975. Frankie was united in holy matrimony to Fred C. Thornton. Though no children came from this union, her door was always open to family and friends alike.
She departed this life on March 2, 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Thornton, her only sister Martha Edwards and three brothers Sterling Bunton, Sr., Algie Bunton, Sr., and Chester Bunton, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers, Charlie Bunton and Tommy Bunton (Glenda), both of Austin; and a host of nieces(great, great-great), nephews (great, great-great, great-great-great), and friends.
