Frances Louise Hill Esmon
Ms. Frances Louise Hill (Benford) Esmon AKA “Tootie” was the third born child to Charles Alfred Hill, Sr. and Henrietta Bessie Lee Laverne Blackwell on July 3, 1941 in Itasca, Texas. Frances Louise was blessed with her wings on June 9, 2022.
She attended Rosewood Elementary, Kealing Junior High school and graduated from L.C. Anderson in 1959. She gave her life to Christ as a teenager at David Chapel under Pastor J.L. Dawson. Frances Louise was also an active member of the Eastern Star of which she joined in 1984. In 1996, Frances Louise joined Mount Sinai along with her husband, George Esmon, and rejoined David Chapel in 2016 following his death.
Frances Louise’s interests included family gatherings, community service, as she volunteered her time on the Runaway Hotline and community functions with her Eastern Star family. She also enjoyed hairdressing, traveling–including many casino trips and purposely getting lost in and around her surroundings to adventurously find her way back. But probably more than anything, she enjoyed directing the steps of her siblings, her children and their children whether they listened or not. She also gave 27 years of her life to Southwestern Bell/AT&T from which she retired in 1997.
Frances Louise was preceded in death by her mother, father, and 4 siblings—Bobby J. Hill, Lorenzo Hill, Dennis L. Hill, and Tyrone Huff.
She leaves to cherish her memory, siblings–Charles A. Hill, Jr., Benja Shirlene Easley, James R. Hill, Willie E. Miller, Brenda L. Washington, Margie D. Burleson, Albert M. Wheeler, Morris W. Hill, Kelly B. Hill, Rebecca J. Thomas, Kenneth W. Hill, and Edward L. Hill; children–Pamela Y. Freeman, Patricia L. Benford, and Starla W. Benford; grandchildren–Summer L. Benford and LeBrone J. Freeman; great-grandchildren BriShon F. Mitchell and Jacob C. Gonzales-Cyphers, and host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
