Felecia Renee (Baker) Rivers, 64, of Austin, TX, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, July 22, 2021.
She was born to the parents of Felix Baker and Linda Adell (Felder) Baker on May 7, 1957 in Houston, TX, who both preceded her in death. She was the oldest of their two children.
She attended Independent Public Schools in Houston, TX and Mount St. Michael Catholic School in Dallas, TX.
Renee began her journey with Jesus Christ at an early age. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized in Houston, TX. Her favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
Upon Renee and Marvin (Possum) Clayborne meeting, they both had previous children. Kay and Marvin eventually grew to love one another while Rene began loving and forming bonds with Marvin’s many children. They then went on to have Xavian thereby permanently blending the two families together.
“Goose,” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, worked as an overhead crane operator for a variety of companies before obtaining her cosmetology licensure.
Renee especially enjoyed cooking, social event food catering, baking, attending lively gatherings, and all types of flowers. Most especially, she enjoyed spending time with her dearly loved children, family, friends, and spreading love and joy wherever she went.
Patiently waiting to see Renee again are her children Kavesha (Kay) Brown, of Austin, TX; sons, Xavian (X) Clayborne of Austin, TX; Ricky Jermaine Brooks of Houston, TX; and sister, Rhonda Baker of Houston, TX.
She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends who dearly love and will miss her.
