Ellis O.D. Alexander was born to Nola Bell and O.D. Alexander on August 24, 1940. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age.
Ellis attended L.C. Anderson in Austin, Texas. He enjoyed carpentry work where he was known to fix and repair many things he would grow to learn himself. He made it his mission to build a home for his family and complete projects that he smiled happily about and chuckled when completed.
Though he was a very private and proud man, he was very loyal, loving, and talented. He will leave a legacy of knowledge, talent, and fond memories.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, grandparents, his sister Betty, and his half-brother Roy Lee Crenshaw.
He is survived by his sister Nettie Fresch, his loving wife of 30 years Rhonda R. Alexander, his 4 children Lorrie Alexander Haywood (Charles), Travis Alexander, Tre Marc Jackson, Vanessa Alexander, Jessica Alexander, De Neka Dove, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted." - Ecclesiastes 3:1-2.
