Edward Levar McKinney, the younger of two children was born to the parentage of James Edward McKinney Sr. and Beverly (Arnold) Britt on January 17, 1979, in Dallas, Texas.
Edward was baptized at an early age, and became a member of The Body of Christ Christian Church in Fayetteville, Georgia. After moving to Austin, he joined Purposed By God Outreach Ministries.
At a very young age his love for cars and vacuum cleaners proved to be a motivation for his success in building model cars, as well as anything mechanical. This continued throughout his life.
Edward loved to travel. Some of his destinations were: Stuttgart, Germany; Florence and Venice, Italy; Paris, France; and Hawaii.
He enjoyed reading, history and geography. Edward could talk on any subject. Because of his love for reading, he could join in on any subject matter. His heart for people and quick wit and humor made him very popular.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, James Edward McKinney, Sr., his sister Charlotte McKinney and his grandparents.
Left to cherish his precious memories are: mother, Beverly Madison (Austin, Texas); two brothers, James Earlyn Britt, II (Austin, Texas), and James Edward McKinney, Jr. (Dallas); sister, Denise Griffin (Grand Prairie, Texas); Uncles, Richard Arnold (wife/Jean of Manor, Texas); and Wesley Daniels, Sr. (wife/Billie of Dallas, Texas); aunts, Patricia Bedford (Austin, Texas) and Archie Arnold (Austin, Texas); niece, Ashley Britt (Georgia); nephews, Demarcus Britt (Dallas), Texas); DeVante Davis (Dallas, Texas); Kobe Britt (US Navy); and a host of other relatives and friends.
