Darnell “Dino” Eugene McClain was born to Dan E. McClain, Jr. and Virginia (Shuler) McClain on October 28, 1982 (age 37), in Austin, Texas. Darnell attended school in the Austin Independent School District. He committed his life to Christ at an early age at Ulit Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Rev. O.S. Davis, and later rededicated his life to Christ at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, under Pastor A.W. Anthony Mays.
He is preceded in death by his father- Dan McClain Jr.; grandmothers - Dorothy Sterling and Mary Alice Shuler; grandfathers - Dan McClain Sr. and Rev. Walter Shuler Sr.; aunt– Carolyn McClain; uncles- Terry McClain, Larry McClain and Eugene Shuler.
Dino’s memories are cherished by his one and only daughter, Symonne Lynette Mendez-McClain; mother- Virginia McClain; siblings – Dañ’ya Traylor (James Traylor Jr.), Dan McClain III, Denise McClain, Danette McClain, DeShawn McClain Sr. and Demetria McClain; aunts–Judy McClain, Linda Ward (William Ward); Brenda Ellison, Lula Mae Williams; uncles- Sammie Shuler (Waynell Shuler), Walter Shuler Jr.(DonnaShuler), Darrell Shuler; nieces- Dasia McClain, London Traylor, JaNiyah Johnson and Dalaysia McClain; nephews –Elis McClain, Dan McClain IV, Kahmrin Traylor, Deshawn McClain Jr., Domani McClain, Prince D’Aire Gaines, Denali McClain, De’Marion McClain; great nephew –Tristan McClain; and a hosts of cousins, extended family members and friends.
