THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION AND UNDERSTANDING
Cornelius Lofton Lemuel was born to Cora Lee Hill-Wright and Robert Hill in Bastrop County on June 19, 1952. She attended schools in the Austin Independent School District and graduated from Old Anderson High School. She loved God, and was baptized early in her childhood. Although Cornelius was an only child, she brought fullness and joy to everyone around her.
Not only was she a precious daughter who grew to be a loving mother to her three sons, she was a lover of her community. With that said, nothing placed a brighter sparkle in her eye, than her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of her favorite places to be was amongst friends and loved ones at Givens Park. She will be remembered for her lovely smile, caring spirit and unmatched style and uniqueness. People would affectionately ask her sons, “Is that your mother with those long, red fingernails?” They were her trademark.
Angels who went before her are: her mother, Cora Lee Hill-Wright and father, Robert Hill; life companion, Jessie James Calhoun; three special sons, Sean Dana Cooks, Antwon Riddle and Charlton Williams; granddaughter, Lashawn Swist; grandson, James Otis Lofton Jr.; aunt, Mary Nelson; and cousin, CB Banks Jr.
Left to cherish her beautiful memory, three sons, James Otis Lofton Sr., Alfort Lemuel Jr. and Robert Charles Lemuel; four grandchildren, Brittany Easley, Atiana Lashelle Lemuel, Latreal Joetrione Lemuel and Robert Charles Lemuel Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Paul Rodriguez Jr., Sterling Shephard V and Cedric Lamont Hunter Jr.; a special cousin, Julia “Honey Bunch” Williams (Chester/Pee Wee), special mother in-law, Odessia Lemuel; extended family and loved ones, Latisha Hinkle, Colesia Clay (Brittany/Bre), Yolanda Barriere (Ariel), Jeff Wright, Guy Gibson, Georgia Mae Meeks, Marilyn Hunter, Regina Bailey, Cheryl Hunter, Renee Felder, Marcia Lee, Marcia Brown and Elee Alridge; and a host of family and friends who were touched by her beautiful life. Cornelius Lofton Lemuel will truly be missed by all who knew her.
