Aretha Harrell was born to Delilah and Calvin Washington in Fairfield, TX on August 27, 1941.
The oldest of 13 children, Aretha preceded in death: husband Johnny Thomas Harrell, sisters Ruby Washington, Delilah Joe, Emora Washington, Louise Swoopes, Bertha Campbell, brothers Sonny Washington, Leslie Washington, Andrew Washington.
She leaves behind Janie, Ivy, Nettie, David Washington, Aretha's children Cynthia Moseley, Debra Xavier, Fannie Harrell, Cynthia's children Deshaun Washington, Chauntalia Washington, Taniesha Washington, Tamira Moseley, Debra Xavier's children Trasetta Glasco and Kenya Levi, Fannie Harrell's children Sheena Harrell, LaTyra Harrell, Shakira Law and Deovion Law. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, other relatives and friends.
