Alton Williams Jr. was born on June 12, 1944 in Harwood, Texas to Alton and Olivia Williams. He attended Edward's High School in Gonzales, Texas and went on to serve his country as a colonel in the United States Marine Corps. He worked briefly in the construction field before relocating to Austin Texas. In Austin, he found employment working for Exxon and then Dell. It was during this time that he fell in love with and ultimately married Charlie Ella Williams, the mother of his 3 daughters Kimberly, Elizabeth, and Herschelle. Alton truly enjoyed any type of work that involved working with his hands. In his free time he would tend to his beloved plants or cook food to be shared with his loved ones. He enjoyed blues music and spending quality time with his brothers. Alton, referred to fondly by his brothers and sisters as Bug, was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
