Obituary

Adell McCarther Daniels, 78, left us on April 20,2022, at 12:47 a.m., lying in the arms of her baby girl Nicole with her son-in law Kyle Bradford at her bedside in Prosper, Texas. Adell was born July 8, 1943, in Round Rock, Texas, to Eunice McCarther Brooks and Albert Brooks. She attended school in Austin, Texas, at Kealing Junior High School and L.C. Anderson High School. L.C. Anderson is where she was introduced to Otis Neal Daniels by a high school classmate. They feel in love and were married on December 25, 1959.

 

Adell worked and retired from the Internal Revenue Service and was the successful co-owner of Otis Maintenance Service along with her husband and owned several rental properties. Her interest included family, church services, and academics. Adell began working for the Lord at a very young age, she was an active member at St. Stephens Baptist Church. She was a very faithful member of the choir, mission, usher board, and she was a well-loved Sunday school teacher. Adell Daniels will forever be remembered for her service in the community, L.C. Anderson IRS Gospel Choir, and community service organization. Adell was mentor at Mendez Middle School on behalf of IRS employees, and she managed the yearly easter egg hunt and high school graduate recognition for St. Stephen Baptist Church. Adell was known for her bubbly personality, energy, and love to everyone she met. She would always give selflessly to others, even strangers and prided herself in always putting family first.

 

Adell is survived by her five children: Clara Yevone Thompson (Douglas Thompson), Otis Neal Daniels Jr., Louria Ann Harrigan (Earl Harrigan), Romana Lynn Daniels (Clarence Johnson) and Nicole Daniels Bradford (Kyle Bradford). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Tameckea, Ronald, Robert, Trimica, Kendra, Latoria, Erica, Otis III, Shanequa, Michael, Kristen, Kyle Jr., and Kaitlyn, and twenty-six great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. She is the second oldest of ten children, and she is survived by her siblings: Sylvester McCarther, Patricia Lynn Books, Donald Ray Brooks (Anita Brooks), Wanda Brooks, Brenda Joyce Brooks, William Earl Brooks, Carolyn Brooks, and Cora Pearl Brooks. She is proceeded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Otis Neal Daniels, Sr, her parents, Eunice Brooks, and Vernon Franklin, grandmother, Ruthie Reed, daughter Felicia Evette Daniels and brother Ines Brooks (Janice Brooks).
