On a peaceful morning, God walked through His garden and plucked a tender flower on February 29, 2020. Ada Collins was born to the late Mack and Lora Collins on March 16, 1925 in Littig, Texas. Sister Ada Collins was educated in the public schools in Littig, Texas. She later became a certified Nurse Aide. Her dedicated service to her patients earned her many commendations and favor among those who needed her services.
Her hope in Jesus Christ began at the early age of 11yr at Shiloh Baptist Church. She later joined Mount Olive Baptist Church under pastoral leadership of the late Rev. H. A. Sneed. Ada's love for Christ and His church were reflected in her many years of faithful service through the offering of her talents, service and support. Throughout her worship there, she served in numerous capacities. Ada was the President of the Junior Mission, Training Union and Mission Association, she served as Co-Chairperson of the local President's Council and chaired the Missionary Committee of Mission II, and served as the Chair of the Society Enrollment Committee until her health began to decline. She earned the love, respect, and commendations of all who knew her untiring faithful, and sacrificial service.
