Willie "Pony" Wilson

September 11, 1945 ~ September 9, 2018 (age 72)

On September 11, 1945 God gave Albert Joyner and Millie Reece (Joyner) a precious gift, Willie Wilson.  Willie was born in Austin, Texas.  On September 9, 2018 he was called home to be with our Heavenly Father.  He is preceded in death by both parents, his brother George Sanders, Sr. and two sons Donald Wilson and Danny Wilson.

At an early age Willie Wilson confessed his love and belief in Jesus Christ and was baptized.  Willie completed his education in 1964 at Manor I.S.D.  Willie later decided to serve his country so he enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1968.  Willie served in the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.

Willie joined Little Zion Baptist Church and served under the fellowship of Rev. Tyrone on the deacon board.

Willie lived his life to the fullest.  On any given day you could always find him dressed nice, listening to the blues or shooting pool.  He was very family oriented and always looked forward to spending time with his grandkids!

Willie leaves moments of celebration of his life to his five children: sons Kirk Wilson (MO), Fred Numm (TX), Drayon Wilson (TX) and two daughters Pauline White (TX) and Katrina Wilson (TX); his brother Otha B Smith (Velma); sister Minnie Abdul-Aleem (Rudolph); as well as a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
