Virginia Elizabeth Swan was born June 26, 1938 to Timothy J. Swan and Eula Veralee (Cavanaugh) Swan.
Virginia was a loving Mother and a generous friend. If she had it to give she would. Virginia will be remembered for her generous spirit. Virginia gave up her fight on the morning of May 5th, 2019 after a decline in health. She was supported by a loving family and was in the care of a loving daughter when she was called home.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church, in St Mary Colony. She later joined Willie Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the leadership of Elder J.D. Winn, Sr., currently Elder Jasper Shaw.
She attended public school in Elroy, Texas and completed her GED later in life. She was employed at the Austin State School and retired after 30 years. She was an active member of the Pecan Springs Neighborhood Association.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Timothy and Eula Swan; brothers: Joseph, Edward, Lorenzo, Austin, Samuel and Everett Swan; and sister: Susie Swan
Virginia leaves to mourn her passing six children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is survived by: Doris J. Morris, Freddie Morris, Jr., Virginia Morris, Janet Smith, Evelyn Morris, and Sherry Moore: grandchildren: Joseph Patlin, Lisa Cornelious (Craig), Jason Morris (Sabrina), Lorena Jenkins (Jaquarius), Chaundra Smith, Courtney Morris, and Darion Moore; great grandchildren: Addison Cornelious, Jaxon Jenkins, Jaelynn Jenkins, Mycala Redoux and Isaiah Redoux. Virginia is also survived by two sisters: Georgia Morrison (Charles) and Eula Lee (Guinn) and a host of relatives and friends.
