Marolyn Jean Williams

February 7, 1940 ~ June 27, 2019 (age 79)

Marolyn was born February 7, 1940 in Texarkana, Texas to Elnora Sampson and Arkeney Burnett.  At the age of 4 she and her family relocated to California.

Marolyn graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and Los Angeles Trade Technical School in 1958 as a Cosmetologist.

Marolyn lived a full life.  She worked as a beautician for 61 years.  She was a host to the National Pastors Association during the California Olympics in 1984 where she volunteered as a driver.

In 1991 she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized at Citizens of Zion Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. B. T. Newman.

In 1992 Marolyn wedded Ben Williams and relocated to Austin, Texas where she continued her work as a Beautician.

In 2006 she celebrated the Home Going of her youngest child/daughter, Kimberly Dana Zachery.

In 2008, she was blessed to attend the Inauguration of our first African American Present Barrack Obama.

Marolyn J. Williams was involved in multiple facets of the church, and from the words of Dr. B. W. McClendon, Sr., she was considered to be one of St. James Missionary Baptist Church F.A.T. Members (Faithful, Available and Teachable).

One of the bones of her work was the Prison Ministry where she touched many lives.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but never forgotten.

Marolyn was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and one daughter Kinberly Dana Zachery.  She leaves to cherish her memory her children Sheila, Terry and Meloniece, 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

We love you Mom.  We miss your smile, your wonderful scent.  The way you cared, taught and prayed for us, you are the Epitome of a mother, woman and friend.  Now that you are in Heaven, you, your mother, and our loving sister may rest in peace.  In Jesus Name we pray.  Amen!
